You are invited to participate in the final Public Comment period for the CircularID™ Protocol 

The CircularID™ Protocol has come a long way. Developed in collaboration with industry leaders, the Protocol enables the continued identification of products for resale and recycle and is an essential step towards fashion’s move towards a circular economy.


In 2018, EON led the development of the CircularID™ Protocol in collaboration with industry experts from across the retail value chain. Since January 2020, the CircularID™ Protocol has been piloted by eight brands whose feedback has been crucial to its continued development, now managed and overseen by an independent Advisory Council.

It’s with much excitement that EON and the CircularID Protocol Advisory Council now invite you to review the updated Protocol and suggest any revisions in order to make this the best possible data protocol for connected products across the fashion and apparel industry.The document will be available until July 31st and the CircularID Protocol is on track to launch later this year.

The CircularID Protocol will launch in October 2021

All feedback received through the Public Comment Period will be reviewed by the CircularID™ Protocol Advisory Council. The Council manages updates made to the Protocol to address public feedback as necessary, and will vote to approve a final version of the CircularID™ Protocol ahead of its launch through a Creative Commons license in October 2021.

The CircularID™ Protocol will be publicly available at no cost and published with the fields and values essential for the data exchange between circular business processes. It will also include a set of Implementation Guidelines.
