Today, less than 1% of materials within the $1.9 trillion global fashion industry are recycled. EON’s Circular Product Data Protocol, a standardised language for garments in a circular system, is poised to alter that. The Protocol enables garments to be traced across their lifecycle, from production to sale, use, resale, and recycling. With global companies such as H&M Group, Target and Microsoft on board – the potential for the Protocol is now being realized. Natasha Franck, CEO & Founder of EON, believes that brands stand to benefit by investing in the circular economy too as a circular system isn’t just better for the planet—it can be exponentially more profitable for businesses.
